1: Assemblable Irregular Structures: Adaptable Solutions In Architecture and Design
This paper proposes an analysis of design experiences using generative design and additive manufacturing, where the strategic iteration of contextual variables has enabled adaptability in assemblable components for both Architecture and Industrial Design. Flexible situations involving diverse functionalities, user experiences, and physical adjustments in scale and proportion demonstrate a high degree of design responsiveness when addressing multiple design situations from topological structural definitions. The algorithms used in form-finding techniques make it possible to transcend the repetitive geometric modularization of identical units of serial components and incorporate customization and simplification in the manufacturing of complex self-supporting spatial meshes.
