124: Made Monos At The Disposal of The Student An Ai Application For The Generation of Contextually Adapted Cutouts For Renderings
Architectural render post-production often relies on generic graphic resources (“cutouts”), which fail to reflect the social, cultural, and population-specific context of projects. Moreover, existing repositories lack representations of Uruguayan cultural identity, forcing students to depend on low-quality or commercially constrained solutions. This paper presents MADE (Monos at the disposal of the student), a repository of culturally informed PNG resources generated through artificial intelligence. Four strategies were investigated: training generative models for specific demands, high-quality segmentation of photographs, controlled in-house captures, and Z-depth-based transformation of image sets. Technical feasibility was demonstrated through quality and precision improvements, and student feedback indicated enhanced cultural relevance and workflow efficiency. MADE democratizes access to high-quality context-aware cutouts, promotes inclusion of authentic cultural elements, and opens new avenues for contextualized architectural visualization.
