178: Teaching Methodology of Conceptual Architectural Design With Artificial Intelligence, Computational Design and Digital Fabrication
How to implement a teaching methodology for architectural design with digital technologies? This is a question that several researchers have been trying to answer since the second half of the 20th century. The guiding hypothesis of this research was that the application of a bio-inspired methodological process, composed of analog and digital technologies, allows students to experience the potential of digital technologies in the conception and fabrication of projects inspired by nature. The general objective was to test a proposal for a bio-inspired conceptual architectural design teaching methodological process with the application of analog and digital technologies for the design and fabrication of a pavilion inspired by nature. In this way, the research was organized in a phase of theoretical foundation and another of experimentation. The main result was the confirmation of the hypothesis that the teaching process should be guided by the teacher with the help of audiovisual scripts.
