216: Architecture As Content: Presence of Digital Media In The Academic Environment

The main goal of this study is to verify the occurrence and penetration of digital content focused on architecture in the academic environment and, from this, to understand some aspects of this phenomenon. Contemporary society is witnessing the expansion and consolidation of digital media, with websites and digital platforms becoming important means of disseminating information. Within digital culture and cyberculture, there is a large volume of architecture-related information, though its quality and depth are not uniform. The research involves a literature review and a case study. The latter is based on data collection through a questionnaire administered to students in the architecture program at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). The results confirm the spread of digital content in academia and examine features of its consumption that enable a discussion of the emerging complexities resulting from the intertwining of digital culture, architecture, and teaching.
