239: Artificial Intelligence and Graphic Representation: An Analysis of Photorealistic Images In Interior Desing

The growing use of artificial intelligence in everyday life has stimulated the emergence of new computing technologies, directly influencing the field of interior design. Within this context, the following question emerges: how can AI-based rendering tools contribute to graphic representation in interior design projects? This study seeks to examine both the potential and the limitations of these tools in generating photorealistic imagery. Through a theoretical review and graphic analysis—excluding direct user research—the investigation explores the persuasive capabilities of AI-generated visuals. The methodology combines a literature review with experimental testing using the mnml-ai and lookx AI Cloud platforms. Findings reveal a range of advantages and constraints associated with these technologies. AI integration has advanced visual representation techniques, offering significant contributions to architectural practice. Nevertheless, critical issues such as ethics, creativity, authorship, data quality, and platform costs remain salient and warrant continued debate in both academic and professional spheres.
