248: Lim As Support For Urban Planning In The Face of Socio-Environmental Risk Areas: The Case of The Peace Community In Fortaleza, Ceará
In order to develop a responsive city, it is essential to recognize that social risks and vulnerabilities are not randomly distributed and that urban planning, by acting selectively, can reinforce climate injustice. Would it be possible to design intervention proposals in risk areas in such a way as to encourage residents to stay? This article investigates sustainable drainage interventions in areas at risk of flooding that favor the permanence of residents. The research uses Landscape Information Modelling (LIM) to analyze the effectiveness of the solutions proposed for Comunidade da Paz, in Fortaleza. An algorithm was developed to calculate the water retention and absorption capacity of the planned infrastructure, generating results according to the duration and frequency of rainfall. Using a systemic approach, the study proposes aligning environmental infrastructure responses to urban complexity, incorporating climate justice as a guideline.
