353: The Sigh In Mental Health: A Multisensory Immersive Sphere For Cognitive Rebalancing and Emotional Restoration
This paper is grounded in research that integrates multimodal software with Extended Reality (XR) and various sensory media—visual, auditory, olfactory, and tactile—to provide emotional rehabilitation for patients with brain injuries, while also enhancing cognitive stability and mental health for all types of users. This paper has three primary approaches: 1) Multisensory stimulation within a transformable installation, 2) immersive experience in a customizable and responsive XR chamber, with small boxes for high-voltage lab equipment; 3) determining psychological evaluation strategy through validated instruments like PANAS and DASS-21. The system's modular and transformable design integrates digital manufacturing techniques with sensory response. Preliminary reviews from pilot sessions show positive outcomes in emotional regulation and reduced cognitive load, despite ongoing clinical trials. This document outlines the project's methodology, assessment procedures, and chamber fabrication. The next phase will focus on medical context fabrication and testing
