382: Perception and Uses of Bim By Professors At A School of Architecture and Urbanism At A Brazilian Federal University

Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become a relevant topic in Architecture and Urbanism education. However, its implementation in Brazilian universities still faces significant challenges. This study investigates the perceptions and uses of BIM by professors at a School of Architecture and Urbanism at a Brazilian federal university. The aim is to critically examine how BIM is perceived and used in teaching practices, in order to support the development of training and dissemination strategies. The research adopted a qualitative and quantitative approach through an online questionnaire. The results reveal varying levels of familiarity with BIM, limited integration into teaching activities, and a general interest in further learning, although often hindered by time constraints. Additionally, the study found low awareness of the institution's BIM Cell initiative. The findings point to the need for training strategies, better communication, and curricular adjustments to foster BIM implementation in higher education.
