46: Cza+: Meta-Responsive Platform For Customizing Social Housing Design Through The Web
The CZA+ platform addresses the limitations of standardized social housing by enabling safe and cost-effective expansions through a mass customization approach. Rooted in previous research, CZA+ evolves into a meta-responsive system that empowers architects and residents alike. Its modular software architecture, comprising a resource management backend, an expert editor, and a user-centered co-design interface, allows for customizable and scalable project configurations aligned with technical and regulatory constraints. This study details the platform’s development, focusing on enhancing accessibility, technical viability, and institutional adoption. Key innovations include real-time validation, need-based guided navigation, and telemetry for iterative improvement. Although currently a functional prototype, ongoing work targets finer parametric control and automated IFC model generation. CZA+ proposes a new service model for housing assistance, bridging expert knowledge and resident agency in the design process.
